The School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha has given government approval for the recruitment of 5,740 retired teachers as Guest Teachers in Government, Fully Aided, Block Grant High Schools and Sanskrit Tol Schools for the academic year 2026-27.

🔹 Post: Guest Teacher
🔹 Academic Year: 2026-27
🔹 Qualification: At least Matric-CT Teacher qualification in the relevant subject
🔹 Place of Employment: Government / Aided / Block Grant High Schools and Sanskrit Tol Schools
🔹 Recruitment Process: At DEO/District level as per the available vacancies
🔹 Main Rule: The recruitment of Guest Teachers will end when regular teachers join.
🔹 The recruitment will be till the end of the academic year 2026-27 or till the regular teachers join, whichever is earlier.

This recruitment will be done on a vacancy basis and Guest Teachers will be recruited after the approval of the Collector.
