Sahara Refund Portal: A major update has been released for the lakhs of depositors who invested money in Sahara Group’s cooperative societies and have been awaiting refunds. The Central Government has reactivated the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal. Consequently, the verification and refund process for approximately 20 lakh previously submitted pending applications has resumed.

According to government data, a total of ₹9,267 crore has been refunded to 4,156,711 depositors so far. The funds are being transferred directly to the depositors’ Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.
How to file a claim from the comfort of your home?
Depositors must use the official CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal to claim their refund. The process involves Aadhaar-based e-KYC and the verification of the depositor’s membership and account details.
Keep the following steps in mind before applying:
- Open the official CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal.
- Complete registration/verification using the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- Provide your membership number, deposit account number, and details of the concerned cooperative society.
- Upload the necessary documents serving as proof of the deposit.
- Carefully verify all details and submit the application.
