The Odisha government has taken this important step with the aim of further strengthening the health system of the state and providing better quality medical services to the people.

This decision is not limited to just creating new posts; rather, it is a far-sighted step towards improving the quality of medical education in the state, creating competent doctors and providing better and faster healthcare to the patients. The sanctioned posts include 7 Professors, 35 Associate Professors, 50 Assistant Professors, 29 Tutors, 248 Senior Residents, 190 Junior Residents (MBBS), 112 Casualty Medical Officers (CMOs) and 84 Blood Bank Officers (BBOs).
After these posts are filled, the availability of teachers and doctors in medical colleges will increase, which will have a positive impact on both medical education and patient care. The Hon’ble Minister expressed hope that this decision of the State Government by sanctioning these posts will further strengthen the health system of Odisha and set new milestones in the field of quality medical education and healthcare in the coming days.
